Yemeni Minister of Social Affairs and Labor visited the Arab Women Organization

Dr. Fadia Kiwan Director- general of AWO receives Dr. Abthaj Abdul Qader Al-Kamal, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor of the Republic of Yemen, and member of the high Council of AWO, at the headquarters of AWO in Cairo on Wednesday 26 June 2019.
Dr. Fadia and Dr. Abthaj Abdul Qader discussed the Cooperation between AWO and the Republic of Yemen, She said that AWO supports Yemeni women by providing support to women trainees in the Republic of Yemen through all the activities adopted by AWO, and stressed the solidarity of AWO with Yemeni women to reach the international community.
Dr. Abthaj Abdul Qader expressed her happiness with this visit to support the activities of AWO in the coming period and to empower Arab women in various fields, moreover they discussed the factors that AWO can implement in the Republic of Yemen during the difficult conditions.
Dr. Abthaj said that Yemeni women before the war have achieved great successes and topped the scene strongly. In fact, they exceeded the presence of men in education in some fields, and women have reached senior positions as ministers, parliamentarians, judges, academics, businesswomen, and all areas of artistic, cultural and technical creativity, and won international awards. Women also proved their ability to participate effectively in the making of Yemeni transformations, and had high positions in Humanities and science.
