The First Training Workshop in the Second Phase

The Arab Women Organization (AWO) is holding The First Training Workshop for the Second Phase in its pioneering program (Building National Capacities on Elections observation from Gender Perspective) via Zoom application from 5-8 September 2022.

This program consists of three consecutive courses, targeting employees of the ministries and members of the national machineries concerned with women issues in the Arab countries, as well as the media professionals involved in observing the general elections.


The ultimate goal of the program is to form units within each national machinery to monitor local elections from a gender perspective.
The first phase of this program was directed to a group of trainees from six Arab countries: Jordan - Tunisia - Palestine - Lebanon - Morocco - Mauritania.
It is worth mentioning that program for preparing observers at the national level, in its first and second phases, is a second component in a major program adopted by AWO aiming at preparing observers with necessary skills and capabilities for observing national elections, The program succeeded in preparing an Arabic team consists of 33 qualified members to perform the monitor process from a gender perspective.
