 Dr. Fadia Kiwan, Director-General of AWO, addressed a letter to Mr. Coly Seck, President of the UN Human Rights Council, expressing concern about the situation of Arab girls and women detainees in Israeli jails, in particular the grave situation of prisoner Heba al-Labadi, who is struggling with death, And subject to Inhuman disciplinary treatment.

Dr. Kiwan asked Mr Seck to present the issue of the situation of Arab women and girls prisoners to the next meeting of the Council. To send the Truth about it at the earliest opportunity.
This statement came within the framework of the interest of AWO in fighting discrimination of all forms of violence against Arab women in implementation of Security Council Resolution 1325 and subsequent resolutions, the latest of which is Resolution 2493.
