The Arab Women Organization Receives Advanced Simultaneous Interpretation Equipment from GIZ’s WoMena Program
Today, the Arab Women Organization (AWO) received modern, permanent simultaneous interpretation equipment, presented as a gift from the WoMena program, affiliated with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), to equip the Organization’s main conference hall.
Dr. Annette Funk, Director of the WoMena program, stated that this contribution aims to support the infrastructure of the AWO, a strategic partner the program holds in high regard. She noted that the equipment will enhance the AWO's capacity for international meetings and conferences, adding that it reflects the deep-rooted ties and joint commitment of both entities to serving women’s causes in the region.
For her part, Professor Dr. Fadia Kiwan, Director-General of the AWO, expressed her profound gratitude and appreciation to the WoMena program, Dr. Annette Funk, and her team for this valuable gift. She pointed out that having a permanent simultaneous interpretation system is a fundamental pillar in supporting the Organization’s vision to strengthen communication and collaboration—sharing ideas, aspirations, and ambitions—with those concerned with women's issues worldwide.
Dr. Kiwan also praised the long-standing cooperation with GIZ through the WoMena program, commending the high level of professionalism, clarity of vision, and commitment demonstrated by Dr. Annette Funk and her dedicated team.
