AWO Celebrating the International Year of Rural Women 2026

 The Arab Women Organization (AWO) implements an ongoing program dedicated to rural women’s empowerment, featuring a diverse range of activities, including seminars, capacity-building training, as well as policy papers and analytical studies.

In light of the United Nations' declaration of 2026 as the International Year of Women Farmers, which aims to highlight the essential roles played by women in agri-food systems, the AWO is participating in this global celebration by showcasing its activities in this domain. This includes highlighting success stories and introducing trainers who have graduated from the AWO’s training programs, particularly the specialized "Train the Trainers" programs in rural development.
