Virtual workshop to present and discuss:

"The Arabic Reference Guide to Concepts in Women's Issues: A Conceptual Approach to Understanding Gender Disparities and Standardizing Terminology"

 The Arab Women Organization (AWO) is convening a virtual workshop on Monday, September 7, 2026, to present and discuss its latest academic project: "The Arabic Reference Guide to Concepts in Women's Issues: A Conceptual Approach to Understanding Gender Disparities and Standardizing Terminology."

The guide was authored by Prof. Dr. Maysoon Al-Atoum, Professor of Sociology and faculty member at the Center for Women's Studies, University of Jordan.

A draft of the guide was previously examined during an academic seminar held on June 17, which brought together the author alongside Prof. Dr. Hala Kamal, Professor of English Literature and Feminist Studies at Cairo University, and Prof. Dr. Marlene Hyder, Dean of the Institute of Social Sciences at the Lebanese University. Both professors provided a comprehensive academic review of the draft, following which the author incorporated key revisions and finalized the document.

The finalized version will be presented during the upcoming workshop hosted via ZOOM, starting at 12:00 PM (Cairo Time).
