Transition of the presidency of the Supreme and Executive Councils of AWO to Lebanon and Algeria

As of March 1, 2019, the presidency of the Supreme Council of AWO will move from the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Lebanon represented by Mrs. Claudine Aoun, President of the National Commission for Lebanese Women.
The Presidency of the Executive Council of AWO is also transferred From the Republic of Tunisia to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria represented by Minister Ghania Dalia, Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women's Issues
It is worth mentioning that both the Presidency of the Supreme Council and Executive Council of AWO rotate among the Member States, in alphabetical order as it is followed in the League of Arab States. The term of the Presidency of the Supreme Council is two years, and the presidency of the Executive Council is one year.
