AWO receives: The Acting Regional Director of the UN-Women Regional Office

Dr. Fadia Kiwan, Director-General of AWO, received this evening at the headquarters of AWO Ms. Janneke Kukler, Acting Regional Director of the UN-Women Regional Office. Dr Fadia congratulated Ms. Kukler for her new position, stressing her keenness to strengthen relations with UN-Women as a key partner for women's empowerment in the Arab region.
The two sides discussed ways of cooperation to empower Arab women in the economic, political and educational fields
In addition to discussing the preparations for launching a series of joint activities to serve the issues of Arab women, and the implementation of several programs aimed at supporting women suffering the plight of asylum and displacement in the Arab region.
The two sides agreed to intensify efforts in the coming period to support and enhance cooperation between the two entities.
