Launching of the Arab Youth Dialogue in Morocco about: "promoting the role of women in peacekeeping and activating Security Council 1325"

  Today AWO launched the first day of the Arab Youth Dialogue about "promoting the role of women in peacekeeping and activating Security Council 1325"which runs from 18-20 July 2019 in Marrakech / Morocco.

Dr. Fadia Kiwan director general of AWO Delivered a speech at the opening session in which she thanked the Moroccan Minister Bassima Hakkaoui Minister of family, Solidarity, equality  and Social Development,  for her efforts in providing all support for this activity. She also welcomed the youth from the Arab countries, Delegation of the members of the House of Representatives in Morocco, and the trainers.
In her speech, Dr. Fadia Kiwan reviewed AWO’s work programs focusing on women, security, peace and the youth program, which aims to promote the youth's potential for achieving peace in the region. Whereas the participation of young of both sexes in the peace process is a guarantee for the sustainability of peace in the Arab region for a better future and AWO has always undertaken initiatives aimed at establishing the values of equality and justice.
The first session dealt with the concept of leadership, negotiation skills, thinking and strategic planning.
