The Third Training Workshop: Reporting methodologies

The Arab Women Organization (AWO) is holding the third training workshop in its pioneering program (Building National Capacities on Elections observation from a Gender Perspective) via the Zoom application, from 10-12 January 2022.
The program aims to prepare (national observers) in the field of elections observation from a gender perspective in the Arab countries by building the capacities of workers in relevant bodies, as well as media professionals.


The workshop discusses the topic of reporting methodologies. The workshop includes a test for the trainees to assess the accumulating of the required capacities in preparation for the official accreditation for a new batch of observers at the national level.
18 trainees representing the national women mechanisms and female media experts from the following Arab countries will participate in the workshop Jordan - Tunisia - Palestine - Lebanon - Morocco – Mauritania.


The workshop will cover the following topics: -

  • Monitoring the election day.
  • Reporting methodologies.
  • Training on using the “Template on Election Observation from a Gender Perspective in the Arab Region” which was issued by the Arab Women Organization in cooperation with the Westminster Foundation for Democracy in order to facilitate the tasks of the observers.
