Political Training Workshops

 These workshops aim to increase the quantitative and qualitative participation of women in the public power structures and in the political institutions through raising the awareness and building the capacity of political activists from the official and civic institutions of the Member States. This project comes as a response to the outputs and recommendations of the survey studies in the field of politics. Four workshops were conducted so far:

  • The First workshop was organized In Cairo from 20 to 24 June,2010. The theme of the workshop revolved around the practical aspects of managing electoral campaigns.
  • The second workshop was held in Luxor from 19-23 June 2011, under the theme: "Women and Political Life: Participation in Elections, Electoral Spending,and Democratic Mechanisms and Regulations".
  • The Third workshop was held in Cairo from 9-13 April 2012, under the theme: "Enhancing Women Participation in Political and Civic Institutions".
  • The Fourth workshop was held in Cairo from 24-28 June 2012, under the theme: "Women and Communication in the Political Arena".
