Workshop on "Enhancing the capacities of Women Participating in Public Sphere"

The Arab Women Organization (AWO) is holding a workshop on “Enhancing the Capacities of Women Participating in Public Sphere”. The workshop which is the first to be held this year; is being held in a partnership with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
It is taking place in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, from 13 to 15 May; with participation of 29 candidates from 11 Arab member countries: (Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, Oman, Iraq, Yemen, Egypt, Sudan, Libya, Morocco and Mauritania).
H.E Mrs. Claudine Aoun; the President of the National Commission for Lebanese Women should give an opening speech in the workshop, along with H.E. Wafaa Al-Dhika, President of the Executive Council of AWO and H.E. Professor Fadia Kiwan; Director General of AWO.
The workshop should discuss important themes includes: transparency and protection against corruption in the public sphere, communication skills, Budgets responsive to women needs.
