Scientific symposium on "The Status of Girls' Education in the Arab and Islamic Worlds"

The Arab Women Organization (AWO) held a scientific symposium on: "The Stat of Girls' Education in the Arab and Islamic World", in cooperation with the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) from 17 to 19 April 2024 in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco.
Prof. Fadia Kiwan, Director-General of the AWO, stated that the symposium is a part of an expanded project adopted by the organization on girls' education in the Arab countries and the Islamic world, adding that the symposium witnessed the presentation of several scientific papers prepared by a group of experts approaching the subject from a comparative perspective that includes all countries of interest.
During its seven working sessions, the symposium discussed various studies dealing with: (Economic Impacts Related to Girls' Education), (Islam and Girls' Education), and (Shifting in Families' Perceptions of Girls' Education", "Political Interventions to Promote Girls' Education", "Gender Stereotypes in School Curricula", and " Girls’ Education in Conflicts and Crisis ".
The results of the studies were discussed by experts and representatives of the ministries of education from 16 Arab and Islamic countries.
