Invitation to attend a virtual workshop Webinar – via ZOOM to present and discuss the results of the second phase of the regional research project

 on positive discrimination policies in favor of women (quota)

 
The Arab Women Organization (AWO) is holding a Webinar virtual workshop on Monday, May 9, 2022, at 11.00 pm Cairo time, to present the results and recommendations of the field studies of the second phase of the regional research project adopted by AWO on “Evaluation of quota policies in relation to enhancing Arab women’s participation in political life".
The field studies represent the second phase of the project, which present the experiences of the following countries: Iraq - Palestine - Mauritania - Egypt., in addition to an analytical reading report for the four studies, focusing on the features/distinctive characteristics of each country, its challenges, conclusions and recommendations.
The Arab Women Organization had initiated of a comparative regional research project on positive discrimination policies in favor of women (quota), with the aim of evaluating the effectiveness and sustainability of these policies in terms of enhancing Arab women's participation in political life.
The first phase of the project was launched in cooperation with the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, in 2019, and was dedicated to the experiences of five Arab countries: Jordan - Tunisia - Algeria - Lebanon – Morocco. 
the upcoming workshop on 9/5/2022, shall witness the launching of the third phase of the project.
