A Panel Discussion on Women’s Image in Arab Caricatures

On the occasion of republishing old caricatures about women, which first took off during the 1960s and 1970s, the Arab Women Organization (AWO) is holding a panel discussion on 26/6/2022, via ZOOM, to discuss topics related to awareness, gender sensitivity, freedom of expression, and the image of women in caricatures.
The panel discussion poses a set of questions about how caricature can contribute to dismantling stereotypes about women.
The panel discussion includes a presentation of a study on the image of women in the caricature, followed by interventions from specialists in the fields of media, gender and art criticism, with the aim of presenting practical recommendations that can be submitted to policy makers.
