 Dr. Fadia Kiwan, Director General of AWO, will participate with an intervention in the Arab Regional Conference, which will be held in the Lebanese capital Beirut on 21 and 22 February 2019, entitled "The Impact of Political, Economic and Social Changes on the Reality of Arab Women".

The conference is organized by the Lebanese Council of Women (LCW) in cooperation with AWO and the UN Women, The Conference programme of work discusses the following topics: Women and Political Participation: Pathways of Challenges and Achievements, Economic Participation: Women, Economic Policies and Empowerment, and Protection of Women from Violence: Protection Experiences and the Mechanisms of Implementation of Resolution 1325.
