AWO congratulates Palestinian women on their national day

The AWO sincerely congratulates Palestinian women on the occasion of the Palestinian Women's Day, which falls on 26 October.
Dr. Fadia Kiwan, Director-General of AWO, salutes the Palestinian people and congratulates the Palestinian women not only in occupied Palestine but also in the Diaspora, expressing sincere wishes for success to the Palestinian people as a whole.
It is worth mentioning that the Palestinian government approved last July to make 26 October of each year a national day for Palestinian women, as an evidence of the struggle of Palestinian women. On this day in 1929, the first Palestinian women's conference was held in Jerusalem in which more than 300 women participated, and came out with strong decisions that reflected the aspirations of the Palestinian people at that time.
