Electoral Complaints, Appeals and Judicial Review

The Arab Women Organization (AWO) is holding the second training workshop in its pioneering program (Building National Capacities on Elections observation from a Gender Perspective) via the Zoom application, from 15-17 August 2023.
 
The program aims to prepare (national observers) in the field of elections observation from a gender perspective in the Arab countries by building the capacities of workers in relevant bodies, as well as media professionals. 
 
The workshop deals with electoral complaints, appeals and Judicial Review, the working sessions discuss several topics. 
Participants in the workshop are from six Arab countries: Jordan, Algeria, Sudan, Lebanon, Libya, and Yemen, from national women machineries as well as media professionals participating in monitoring the elections.
 
Participants should be divided into practical working groups for practical training.
 
Prof. Dr. Fadia Kiwan, Director General of the Arab Women Organization should give an opening speech, while Prof. Dr. Shafiq Sarsar, Professor of Higher Education at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences - Republic of Tunisia, Dr. Issam Suleiman, Former President of the Constitutional Council in Lebanon, and Major General Rifaat Qumsan, Deputy Former Chairman of the Executive Body of the National Elections Authority – Egypt should participate in the training process
