Prof. Dr. / Wadouda Badran

Ph.D, International Relations, Carleton University-Canada. Professor of International Relations, Cairo University, Egypt. Vice Dean, Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University (1995- 2001). Joined the Egyptian Diplomatic Service and served as the Egyptian Cultural Counselor and Director of the Egyptian Education Bureau in the U.K.

Director, Programme to Enhance Women Participation in Political Life, Cairo University (1995- 2001). Author of several books on women political participation. Addressed major conferences on women issues. Member of the National Council for Women, Egypt (2000- 2003).

Prof.Dr. Wadouda Badran is the First Director General of the Arab Women Organization since 2003. In 2006 Dr. Badran was decorated by H.E. Zen el- Abideen Bin Ali, President of Tunisia, and by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka Bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa to honor her efforts to enhance the status of Arab Women.

In 2013, Prof.Dr. Wadouda Badran became Consultant to AWO's Supreme Council,as per the Supreme Council's Resdution in its extraordinary meeting - Algeria (02/27/2013).
